I think this is awesome, I only have 1 1/2 months left on my warranty. Just have to keep in mind that this extension ONLY covers the three ring error, nothing else.
I think it’s great. I own a 360 and I love it, but my friends are all starting to see their 360′s die and it scares me. It’s good to see that M$ finally acknowledges the issue instead of hiding behind the "It’s about only 3-5%".

I’m happy that MS extended the warranty to 3 years so now I’m pretty much covered for the life of the 360 since I also got a 2 year warranty from Gamestop.
But it’s not that big of a surprise since just about everyone has been complaining that their 360 isn’t working. It seems to get worse and worse as time goes by. I guess this is what’s causing Bill Gates to drop the title of richest man in the world.
I’ve been telling people that the xbox 360 had a 30 % failure rate maybe now they will believe me.
