hey guys i just read a article on ars techina (this article was just posted 6/26 yesterday)

I really wanted to buy a xbox 360 this weekend as I just got my paycheck and im bored as crap for the summer. However, with this news im worried that I should wait. Is this news reliable?

AND also, If i buy a xbox 360 from either wal-mart or best buy and keep my reciept can i return it?? And how many days? Any 1 know the return policies for these stores? Im not talking about games just the 360 hardware itself.

1-I’m not really into it.

I’m not really into the XBOX 360 but after the E3 news and announcements and stuff I don’t what to get..

I loved the PS3. XBOX 360 is coming out with sweet games and new stuff.

I also love Resistance & 2(Coming out) and MGS4!!

I don’t know what to get… Please answer!!!

Original Xbox Games Wont Work On 360 W\ Hard Drive?

Every xbox game that I have tried playing, all of which are supposed to be compatible with Xbox 360 do not work. I have a microsoft brand 250 gb hard drive and they still dont work.

I get this msg:

This original Xbox game is not supported on your xbox 360 console. An update to support this game may be available. For more info, go to www.xbox.comgames.

The games ive tried are GTA San Andreas, and star wars battlefront 1 and 2, all of which are on the wikipedia list of compatible games. and also this confirms it for battlefront:

NAT on Xbox Live went back from Open to Moderate?

Well, a while back, I couldn’t join my friends’ Xbox Live Parties because I had a Moderate NAT and they had Strict. I followed this guide: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Guide-to-Opening-NAT-Xbox-360-71775.shtml . My NAT has been open for about a month now, and suddenly it switched back to Moderate. I checked my router’s settings and the required ports are still open and DMZ is still enabled (I don’t have UPnP).

Also: One of the friends whose Parties I couldn’t join turned on UPnP and got an open NAT a few days ago. His NAT is back to Strict. Possibly the same problem for both of us?

Survey section: Can I get banned from xbox live?

Ok, so I got deranked in Cod4 awhile ago (I was a legit 3 rd prestiges 55) and I wanted just to get back to a rank 55 with my prestige or 10 prestiege. But I got into an infected lobby, but I think I dont have it anymore because I go into matchmaking team death in Cod 4 and my gun does not have a red modded laser (it did before).
I don’t like to cheat….I got cheated by fool that deranked me. I wouldnt be in this mess if a guy deranked me in the first place.
I (myself) don’t put modded or any stuff that violates the code of conduct on my xbox 360.
I don’t host lobbies or download stuff to xbox 360, I just joined a modded game (someone else hosting not me)
i’ve been a gold member since 2006.
Can I get banned, or should I not worried?

Too late to buy an Xbox 360?

I can finally afford an Xbox 360, but am I too late? It’s been out for soooooo long, won’t they be releasing a new console soon? What’s the latest news on new consoles?

Also, is buying it used from Amazon generally pretty safe?
